About Us

Michael Sonderby is the Acting CEO of SteerAI, where he is responsible for leading strategy, growth, and operations. With over 20 years of experience in digital strategy and consulting, he specializes in venture and product building, go-to-market strategies, and digital transformations, with a focus on logistics and transportation.

Previously, Michael was a managing director and partner at Boston Consulting, including BCG Digital Ventures, where he built and launched successful ventures in Germany, China, and the UAE. He also worked as the head of strategy at eBay, where he led corporate strategy as well as mergers and acquisitions development, supported business units in driving e-commerce performance, generated market insights that drove strategic decision-making, and drove implementation of these recommendations.

Michael holds a Master of Science in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics and a Master of Science in International Management and Marketing from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.

Rickard Martensson is the Director of Business Development at SteerAI, where he is responsible for leading commercial strategy and customer growth initiatives.

He brings deep international experience in scaling technology companies and has held senior roles across Europe and Asia. Prior to his time at SteerAI, Rickard worked for Einride, a Swedish company focused on sustainable freight technology, where he led go-to market initiatives and business expansion. He also served as a consultant for McKinsey & Company, advising clients on business growth, product innovation, and commercial strategy.

Rickard holds a Master of Letters in Finance and Management from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He is also a licensed commercial pilot and an avid sailor.

Jayant Sachdev is the Product Lead at SteerAI, where he is responsible for driving the strategy and development of AI-powered autonomous mobility products for defense applications.

He brings nearly a decade of experience across autonomous vehicles, robotics, fleet logistics, and uncrewed aerial systems. Prior to joining SteerAI, Jayant led the Uncrewed Aerial Systems product family at Kongsberg Geospatial, where he oversaw the strategy and development of situational awareness and airspace management solutions enabling safe and scalable Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations. Earlier in his career, he held a range of product management and engineering roles at General Motors, where he contributed to the strategy for BrightDrop’s autonomous vehicle program, led vehicle logistics initiatives, and delivered advanced driver assistance features including Super Cruise and Lane Change on Demand, which are deployed in millions of vehicles each year.

Jayant is known for driving measurable business impact through customer-focused design, product-led growth, and cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, and operations. He is also an inventor with multiple U.S. patents in autonomous driving, robotics, and active safety systems.

Jayant holds a Master of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a recipient of GM’s Boss Kettering Award, the company’s highest innovation honor.

Omar is the Director of Operations at SteerAI, where he oversees the deployment, scaling, and performance of autonomous vehicle systems. He leads cross-functional teams responsible for fleet deployment, quality assurance, and field performance. He is focused on making autonomous technologies practical and reliable in the real world.

With a background in industrial engineering and innovation, Omar brings over a decade of experience managing mobility programs across Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining SteerAI, Omar spent five years at RATP Group in France, one of the world’s largest public transportation operators, where he helped pilot and scale autonomous transport services in complex urban environments. His work combined technical coordination, regulatory engagement, and operational rollout. He also worked as a consultant for Sia Partners and LASCE Associates.

Omar regularly contributes to industry-wide discussions on the future of autonomous mobility. He holds an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec in France.

Anouar Dhouibi is a Senior Director and Head of Ground Robotics at the Technology Innovation Institute, where he leads multidisciplinary teams focused on developing high- performance robotic systems. He is also the Head of Technology for SteerAI.

With a background in electronic and computer engineering, Anouar brings over 15 years of experience in embedded systems, functional safety, and autonomous mobility technologies.

In addition to leading the development of the technology behind SteerAI, he and his team have deployed a platooning system, involving five autonomous ground vehicles for military search and rescue missions, in partnership with ADASI, part of the EDGE Group.

Before joining TII and SteerAI, Anouar held senior roles at Renault Trucks, AKKA Technologies, and GAMA (formerly NAVYA), where he led the functional safety and certification department for autonomous shuttles. His expertise includes systems architecture, certification processes, and software reliability in complex operational environments.

Anouar holds a Master of Engineering in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Polytech Grenoble in France. He was also a visiting student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western University in Canada.

Neville Baron is a Manager in the Venture Building team at VentureOne, where he supports the incubation and early-stage operations of deep tech ventures focused on autonomous robotics and AI. He currently oversees operational delivery and strategic execution at SteerAI, an autonomous mobility technology company spun out of VentureOne.

Prior to support SteerAI, Neville played a key role supporting the launch and incubation of AI71, including running early-days operations and establishing key partnerships. Prior to joining VentureOne, he worked in the Executive Chairman’s Office at EDGE Group, where he designed and implemented strategic programs related to technology commercialization, strategic partnerships, and learning and innovation programs. Earlier in his career, Neville was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), focusing on turnaround strategies, principal investing, and public sector transformation across Europe and the Middle East.

Neville is passionate about driving value at the intersection of research, product, and market. He holds a Master of International Management from HEC Paris and from CEMS.
